The Bengals have placed rookie running back Jarveon Williams on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list and placed safety Brandon Wilson on the Active/Non-Football Injury list, due to injuries.

The Active/PUP list means the injury occurred during an NFL practice, while Active/NFI means it was a non-NFL injury. Both players will continue to count against the team’s 90-man roster limit and can be activated to practice as soon as they are cleared medically.

The good news here is that first round pick John Ross was not placed on an injury list. The Bengals cheap authentic jerseys could still place him on the NFI list before Friday, but it seems they won’t be doing that and that this is all the news surrounding rookies who are injured heading into camp. Bengals.com shared yesterday that it may be a few weeks before Ross practices, but, he may just be limited on day one of training camp. Similarly, rookie offensive lineman J.J. Dielman did not practice in OTAs due to a lisfranc injury suffered during his final collegiate season. He was not placed on an injury list today and should be good to go on Friday.

Once a player practices during training camp, they are no longer eligible for the Active/PUP list.

Williams was an undrafted player out of University of Texas-San Antonio who has a very tough climb to making the roster. Wilson was a sixth round pick, who the Bengals traded up to select in 2017.

Wilson told Cincy Jungle he had been working out and thought he’d be ready for training camp, but that does not appear to be the case. Hopefully he will be on the field soon because he needs every opportunity he can get to make the roster. He’s fighting for a spot at safety, despite playing mostly cornerback in college, with time spent at running back, too. The Bengals typically roster four safeties and ahead of Wilson on the depth chart are starters George Iloka and as well as backups and Clayton Fejedelem.

The Bengals rookies reported to camp on Tuesday and the veterans will follow suit on Thursday. We will likely find out if any Bengals veterans will be placed on the PUP or NFI list tomorrow. The Bengals kick off training camp at 3:00 p.m. on Friday at the practice fields adjacent to Paul Brown Stadium. Gates open at 2:30 p.m. ET.Cheap Derron Smith Jersey 300x183 - nfl
