Authentic Stanley Johnson Stitched NBA Jersey

by admin .

In our series of season outlooks for the players on the 2017-18 Detroit Pistons roster, we’ll run through expectations for each. Next up is Stanley Johnson.

Of all the Detroit Pistons who had seasons they won’t remember fondly, Stanley Johnson might be near the top of the list. After an inspiring rookie season, he hit the summer circuit last year with a re-worked jump shot and the promise of an Orlando Summer League in which he was consistently the best player on the floor in spite of coaching restrictions hindering the use of his right hand.

He tore up summer league, the Drew League, Drake’s OVO league and just about every competition he found himself in, but when training camp began everything started off poorly. Johnson missed time due to foot pain from his shoes, and his stubborn tendencies clashed with Stan Van Gundy and the duo struggled to get on the same page most of the season.

Johnson didn’t see 20-plus minutes of playing time for the fourth time until December 11th, by which time he had already had three DNP-CD’s and a one-game suspension for an undisclosed violation of team rules.

In spite of this, and the fact that somehow his shot ended up more broken than in his rookie season (he had an effective field goal percentage of 42.8 in his rookie season and it dropped to 41.5 percent last year), the Pistons were generally better when he was on the floor than off. Some of that is due to the fact that much of his playing time came against second units, but he had great chemistry with Ish Smith, Tobias Harris and Aron Baynes and his defense was generally excellent.

This quartet (which earned the nickname of “Voltron”, coined by Rod Beard of the Detroit News) thrived all season, but particularly in February when they led all non-Golden State Warriors four-man combos in the NBA in net rating with a glittering +25.9. The only better four-man unit that month was Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

Johnson’s performance will be vital to the Pistons this season. With the trade of Marcus Morris to the Boston Celtics for Avery Bradley, Stanley Johnson has been forced up the pecking order in the forward rotation. Instead of backing up Kentavious Caldwell-Pope last season out of position at shooting guard, where 45 percent of his minutes were played, he’ll be playing in his more natural small forward spot, with the possibility of some small-ball power forward minutes.

In some starting lineup projections, Johnson would start for the Detroit Pistons at the three, cheap jerseys authentic although Stan Van Gundy may take a more patient approach installing him into the starting lineup. Without a doubt, he is much better positioned to make an impact playing his physical style of defense this season. In addition, an offensive approach that is more focused on cutting off ball and slashing to the rim than spotting up can only benefit him, and playing at the three will aid that.

Cheap Authentic Jae Crowder NBA Stitched Jersey

by admin .

Jae Crowder has once again gotten into it with Twitter haters—this time about his minutes next season. The Celtics forward never hesitates to clap back at people disrespecting him.

Crowder’s relationship with some (not all) Celtics fans is one of the few blemishes on what has been, for the most part, a love affair between him and the city of Boston. He’s brought a blue collar attitude to the franchise that doesn’t go unnoticed, but he’s ruffled some feathers along the way.

Last season, Crowder heard fans cheering for Gordon Hayward at TD Garden when the Utah Jazz were going through their introductions. It’s difficult to know how true this is, but this illustrates the tension between Boston and the Marquette product; the slightest slight can irk JC and subsequently, start an unnecessary social media flame war.

Fast forward seven months. When the Celtics signed Hayward this summer, Danny Ainge needed to trade Crowder, Avery Bradley, or Marcus Smart in order to offer Hayward a full max contract. Bradley, the longest tenured Celtic and a fan favorite, was eventually dealt to Detroit for Marcus Morris, but a lot of people were eager to see Crowder go. Despite Ainge coming out and reinforcing that “Jae is a big part of what we’re doing,” a loud minority felt that the oft disgruntled Crowder was redundant after signing Hayward and drafting Jayson Tatum.

In Crowder’s defense, he’s been an important player during the rebuild. He’s a versatile defender, has a pretty shooting stroke, and made 40% of his threes last season. Crowder is a prototypical 3-and-D wing that allows the Celtics to play small ball lineups with Crowder at the 4.

On top of all of that, Crowder is one of the NBA’s biggest bargains. He’ll make $7 million on average until the summer of 2020, where players with Crowder’s skill set at the age of 27 would probably make around $12-18 million on the open market.

For a team that is headed toward luxury tax territory, Crowder’s an invaluable role player and yet, some have questioned #99. Here are some possible reasons:
Master of None

Crowder is solid, but he’s not necessarily elite in any specific area. He isn’t the playmaker and scorer that Isaiah Thomas is, he’s not the perimeter defensive specialist that Bradley is, and he isn’t a freak athlete with high upside like Jaylen Brown. Crowder isn’t necessarily a marketable player or a SportsCenter commodity, but he’s been a consistent contributor on a winning team. For lack of a better description, he’s a Brad Stevens’ type of player.

It takes more context to truly understand Crowder’s impact with the Celtics. For example, NBAMath.com examines the value a player adds on both ends of the floor specific to play type. Comparing the 2015-16 season to 2016-17, Crowder dramatically increased the value he added on offense in spot ups and off cuts, two crucial elements to Brad Stevens’ pace-and-space motion offense.

On defense, he improved in almost every area too, including guarding isolation, pick and roll ball handlers and roll cheap jerseys nba men, and in post up situations.

He isn’t elite in any particular area, but over the course of an entire game of around a hundred possessions, he’ll make more good plays than mistakes. As fans, it’s easy to get infatuated with that late game possession where Bradley locks up Kyrie Irving one-on-one or Jaylen throws down a tomahawk in a blowout. Crowder doesn’t give you a lot of those moments, but his body of work can’t be measured in a highlight or 140 characters.
Shot Selection

Last season, Crowder had a career year shooting the ball. A near 40% three-point clip is exactly what the Celtics need from him as he spaces the floor for players like Thomas, Horford, and now Hayward, but—and this is arguably nitpicking—there is still something left to be desired.

Despite career high shooting percentages, Crowder’s scoring totals have stagnated over the last two years (14.2 ppg in ‘15-’16 to 13.9 ppg in ‘16-’17). Despite being built like a linebacker, Crowder tends to float around the perimeter. Some of that is by design to create space for his teammates, but Crowder still only averaged 1.3 drives per game last season, which is 8th most on the Celtics. The only players that drove to the basket less than Crowder with consistent playing time were Gerald Green, Jonas Jerebko, and Amir Johnson.

Crowder is a 6’6, 235 pound forward. He’s a physical beast that refuses to go inside. It would be like Gronk if Gronk never went over the middle and punished would-be tacklers. Driving more could really help open up Crowder’s game and the Celtics offense, but Stevens seems to have a specific game plan for using him on the offensive end. Since the Celtics’ offensive rating when Crowder was on the court was a 115.5 as opposed to a 106.2 when off, I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

Avery Bradley Authentic Stitched NBA Jersey

Reggie Bullock remembers the first time he saw Avery cheap jerseys Bradley.

Both were college prospects and Bullock recalls being impressed by a certain aspect of Bradley’s game.

“… I just remember like he always had a midrange game,” Bullock said earlier this month.

“I’m in high school I was seeing him play and I’m like, ‘This kid got the best midrange game I’ve ever seen.’ ”

After the Detroit Pistons acquired Bradley from the Boston Celtics for Marcus Morris and Bullock re-signed for two seasons with the Pistons, the two are now teammates.

And Bullock has watched Bradley grow into the one of the best two-way players in the NBA.

“He’s a great defender — always been a great defender — he can get over pick-and-rolls, he gets into players, (and) he’s obviously a player I’ll continue to learn from this season, even in practice,” Bullock said.

Bradley comes from the Celtics, one of the best teams in the NBA. There’s hope the winning habits rub off.

“I’ve never seen him take plays off — at all — and he’s in it to win it,” Bullock said. “I’m sure that he’s training this summer to bring a winning mentality back to Detroit. … but this year is a brand new year for us to build, and that’s our focus, but Avery overall is a great player on both ends of the floor.”

The joke’s on us for thinking off-season acquisitions were (basically) over in the NBA.

Kyrie Irving made sure wholesale nba jerseys of it.

Irving sent the NBA into a tizzy last week after word leaked out that the Cleveland Cavaliers’ star point guard requested a trade in a meeting with team owner and Detroit native Dan Gilbert.

There’s no doubt Irving is one of the game’s best scorers, and the Pistons are in need of a player of his caliber to carry the franchise back to the playoffs and beyond. But money and talent drive the NBA, which is why it’s unrealistic to think Irving will land in Detroit.

Irving, whose game-clinching three-pointer helped the Cavaliers stun the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals, seems to be looking for a chance to be the top offensive player or at least share the spotlight.

He could check either of those boxes with the Pistons, who have been searching for a star and were in talks with the Indiana Pacers about trading for Paul George before last season’s February trade deadline. Plus, Irving is under contract for two more seasons (with a player option for 2019-20).

Irving averaged a career-best 25.2 points to go with 5.8 assists in 72 regular season games last season, shooting 47.3% from the field (19.7 shots per game) and 40.1% from three-point range.

He replicated his dominance from the 2016 championship run in the 2017 playoffs, posting 25.9 points over 18 games on good efficiency.

A Pistons backcourt of Irving and Avery Bradley would complement each other perfectly with Bradley’s off-ball shooting and cutting, and his All-NBA defense helping to shield Irving. The pair would immediately become one of the best backcourts in the league.
